Jonas S Bohlin (1963, Stockholm, Sweden) attended the Royal College of Music in Stockholm 1990-97 where he studied composition with Daniel Börtz, Sven- David Sandström and Magnus Lindberg, counterpoint, music theory and arrangement with Lars-Erik Rosell and Bo Wallner 1990-93 and electroacoustic music with Bill Brunson and Pär Lindgren 1991-97.

Kapellsberg  Music School, 1987-90. Studies in counterpoint, music theory and composition for Olov Franzén, Jan Wolf-Watz and Peter Lyne.


Bohlin has composed music for large orchestras, solo concertos, chamber music, vocal music, music for choir and film music. In 2018 his full-length opera Tristessa was premiered at the Royal Opera House in Stockholm.
